Wax Foundation & Blocks

Our foundation is specially made tour specifications and sized for the fully assembled prewired frames we use and sell. This foundation does NOT FIT into your normal grooved frames that requires a larger sheet so please only order it if you are using it in these types of frame or perhaps for rolled candles. Always check the dimensions given for each product before ordering.

We have two GRADES of wax available in various sizes.

There is our STANDARD grade that we import from a beekeepers cooperative abroad and the bees love it. Both key customers and ourselves have been using this for some seasons now and it is robust and rapidly drawn, manufactured to our spec from the block wax brought into the unit by local beekeepers. It is VERY keenly priced and of excellent quality. Sold by the Kg. Number of sheets per kg, and pack/carton sizes are detailed on product list. Minimum order is per pack. Packs are paper wrapped and sheets all interleaved.

We also have PREMIUM grade wax made from our own Scottish (predominantly heather) cappings wax from our own extracting plant. It is all made from our own wax, milled to our spec by Thornes, and returned to us for use or sale. Scottish wax, UK processed.

Do not order this foundation expecting it to fit your usual UK frames with grooved sidebars etc. It is short sized specifically to fit prewired frames and results in very flat robust combs. Check the dimensions for each size before ordering please. Special sizes can be arranged subject to order size.

We are now also offering wired foundation for BS (National or Smith) frames in both brood and super sizes, in both standard and premium. This wax WILL fit your pre existing traditional style frames as well as our new self assembly traditional frames coming soon. Due to it being worked by the sheet in the wiring plant we sell the wired foundation on a per sheet basis. The premium wax attracted huge attention at the Beekeeping show in Telford due to its aroma and quickly sold out.
